Hi, I'm Lilly and welcome to The Everyday Observer. I am the founder and editor of this blog and I want to let you know a little bit about myself and why I created this space.
I grew up in a small town full of regular, everyday people and this is what has always encouraged me to keep my work realistic and down to earth. After being at college and university and studying fashion promotion in both places, I realised that the luxury side of fashion really wasn't for me. It isn't created for me, nor am I the target audience. Now, being in the last year of university, I keep thinking, why would I want to curate my work around a luxury industry that has never been made for me in the first place? This blog has been created from a place of boredom with luxury fashion and a need to be seen in honest, real and everyday content.
This blog will be very personal to me and everyone who contributes, as this is what is going to keep it grounded and special for you as the readers. We will be covering many topics in this blog and all of these will be kept very honest and real.
I want to create a space for us as regular people, fashion and beauty lovers and for us who enjoy a bit of humour or even a deeper conversation from time to time. I want to look at fashion, lifestyle and beauty themes from a personal and less perfect way - creating an online presence for real routines, less perfection and more reality than ever before.
